Subject: What are the most anticipated DS games of the year 2010? Sat Feb 06, 2010 5:58 pm
Well, based on my research. These five games seem to be very much anticipated this year.
5) Pokemon Heart-Gold/Soul-Silver (Nintendo)
Spoiler:
-Of course, the newest Pokemon Game. Based on the games Gold and Silver, this game is in johto with twists that differ it from the original story. I'm not sure about the characters in this game, but people say Nintendo will bring justice to their pokemon series with this game. You gotta get it!
4) Infinite Space (Sega)
Spoiler:
-An exclusive DS-only RPG from Sega, this title has an ambitious scope – players have the opportunity to build and customize over 150 spaceships, choosing from 200 crew members. The aim is to battle your way through space, exploring new star systems while constantly upgrading your fleet to make it the strongest in the galaxy. The graphics look top notch – this is definitely one to watch.
3) Dragon Quest IX: Protectors of the Sky (Square-Enix)
Spoiler:
Also: I'm not one to follow the DQ series, but this game is rather appealing. It comes with TWO cartridgess when you buy it.. WOW!
-Square Enix is hoping to finally break Dragon Quest into the Western market with this ninth installment in the series. Dragon Quest is so popular in Japan that the entire country practically grinds to a standstill whenever a new version is released, but it’s never had much of an impact beyond the borders of Nippon. The developers have tried to remedy this by designing the game to have wider appeal – gone are the irritating random encounters, and the focus is much more action-oriented this time round. But the game’s major draw is the multiplayer, which has benefited from a constant stream of DLC in Japan. Could this be the Dragon Quest title that breaks through to the West?
2) Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth (Capcom)
Spoiler:
-Another worthy addition to the Ace Attorney series, this game sees you step into the shoes of the prosecution lawyer Miles Edgeworth. Little has changed from the previous game – cross-examination will feel comfortably familiar – but a switch to third-person view for the investigation scenes makes the game feel markedly different as you move Miles around with the d-pad. Hmm... Interesting.
1) Okamiden: Chisai Taiyou (Capcom)
Spoiler:
-This game got a lot of people very excited when it was announced earlier this year. With the demise of Clover Studio, most thought that would be the last we saw of the enchanting and epic Okami universe. However, Capcom obviously know when they’re onto a good thing – get set for a massive adventure game with beautifully stylized Japanese artwork and a lasting challenge. A must have for any DS gamer.
